Melanie B. Bradford has focused her law practice on elder law (Estate Planning, Special Needs Planning, Medicaid and Probate) since 2006. Ms. Bradford earned a B.A. degree in political science and history, magna cum laude, from Athens State University. She obtained a J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, cum laude, where she was a member of the Cumberland Law Review. Upon graduation from law school, she was nominated to be a member of Curia Honoris, by recommendation of the law school faculty upon consideration of class rank and contributions to the law school.

Ms. Bradford is admitted to practice before all Alabama courts, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, US. Tax Court, and all Tennessee courts.

She serves as an appointed board member for the Alabama Family Trust, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) special needs trust serving children and adults with disabilities. She is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Alabama State Bar (past president); a member of the planning committee for the annual Alabama Elder Law Conference; the Alabama State Bar, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; American Bar Association; and the Tennessee Bar Association.

Ms. Bradford's main office is located in Scottsboro, Alabama. She also has offices in Arab, Alabama and Chattanooga, Tennessee.
